I’ve attended Maya’s Shakti Flow classes since 2020, along with several of her other offerings.
What strikes me most about Maya is how she embodies both the magical and the sacred while remaining firmly grounded, sensible, and practical — and how naturally she moves between these worlds. That rare balance is evident in everything she does.
Her Shakti Flow classes are a good example: they open with mantras and mudras seated in a circle, then move into yoga stretches designed to bring you fully into your body before — and only then — opening into free dance, before returning to the floor. Nothing is rushed or forced. Each stage prepares you for the next.
I’ve also worked with Maya in one-on-one vocal activation sessions. Here a different side of her comes through — perceptive and adaptable, with a gift for reading what each person needs and finding the approach that works for them.
I’d recommend Maya without hesitation to anyone looking for a practice that honours both the spiritual and the embodied.
